Journalists are also part of the community. The National Active Reporters Association, which strongly believes that if the society is better, all journalists and media-driven sectors are doing well.

It is mainly demanding that governments contribute to the welfare of journalists, and also encourage journalists to provide for the various social classes while providing them with the right to law.

After the partition of the state of Hyderabad, Nara Union, which is based in Hyderabad, has registered its unit in Andhra Pradesh and is working for the welfare of its members.

Telangana, Andhra Pradesh State Government and senior officials are in regular consultation and working towards the welfare of journalists.

The Nara Union plays a vital role in the provision of health insurance, places and houses for journalists, pension grants for deceased journalists and financial assistance to welfare funded journalists.

To this end, Meetings with Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao along with the State ministers, several MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu also along with the several state ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs along with several high-ranking officials were issued on the welfare activities of journalists.

Governments responding to their efforts have implemented a number of welfare programs for journalists in the recent past.
